Luffs Stuff - The Interviews Part II

E-mail Print
Greetings Sportsfans, The Luff’s Stuff mailbag has been filled with positive feedback regarding last week’s interviews. As promised, today’s edition has interviews with the coaching staff of the WCC Colts, Farms and Bluey. Read on….

Troy: Farms, thanks for taking some time out for readers of Luff’s Stuff.

Farms: No worries Troy.

Troy: First things first. How is the rehab coming along?

Farms: Really good thanks Troy. My scalp has been prepared and next week I go in for the strand by strand plugs.

Troy: I was talking about your leg.

Farms: Sorry Troy, I thought you meant my hair. The leg is coming along nicely thanks.

Troy: Good to hear. What is your favourite football moment?

Farms: I reckon it would have to be back in the season of ’84 when I kicked 10 goals in my first Hale Old Boys match.

Troy: ’84? Don’t you mean 2004?

Farms: Umm, yeah. I guess I may as well come clean. Not many people know this but I am actually 44 years old.

Troy: That explains a lot Farms, the pot belly, the receding hairline, the osteoporosis.

Farms: Ha Ha Ha! Nice one Troy.

Troy: Who is your favourite player?

Farms: I really look up to Adam Ramanauskas because he has the same hairstyle as me.

Troy: What are your memories from when you broke your leg earlier this year?

Farms: My initial thoughts, after I realized my leg was broken, was that it was taking an awfully long time for the stretcher to come out. I couldn’t understand why Tommy Wagner wasn’t taking off his shirt to signal the seriousness of my injury and that a stretcher was needed on the double.

Troy: I remember thinking the same thing. Do you think you are a chance to make it back onto the field this year?

Farms: Well, I am a former Hale student so I am probably a better than even chance.

Troy: Good luck Farms.

Farms: Thanks Troy. All the best.

I also managed to sit down for 2 minutes with former club captain Emmett McKenna, also known as Bluey.

Troy: G’day Bluey, thanks for your time. I’ll try to keep this brief.

Bluey: Not a problem Troy.

Troy: Who is your favourite WCC player?:

Bluey: I have a couple. Definitely Trenty, Cass, Triple J and a former player at the club, Dickie Christianson.

Troy: Favourite singer/band?

Bluey: Simply Red

Troy: Favourite food? Bluey: I like jaffas, carrots (mainly the top part), tomato sauce and biscuits (ginger nuts especially)

Troy: Favourite drink?

Bluey: Fanta or Red Bull

Troy: You have made a comeback in the last month after missing the first half of the season. I notice you haven’t been wearing the helmet. Any reason why?

Bluey: I initially started wearing it because I was getting sick of all the “Ranga” comments I was copping during games. I’ve since joined a Bloodnut support group, which has helped teach me to accept my gingerness. Our motto is “I might be a period head but I can still contribute to society”. This year we are lucky enough to have Cameron Ling as our Patron.

Troy: Good for you! I afraid that’s all we have time for Bluey. I’m sure readers of Luff’s Stuff are very pleased to see you back on the field.

Bluey: Thanks Troy.

There you have it folks. Some interesting revelations there. You can always rely on the Luffster to break the big news. Good luck to all WCC teams for this week’s fixtures.

Luffy.
