West Coast Cowan Football Clubs City Beach Oval home looks to see a huge upgrade of its facilities, with the first conceptual drawings produced displaying the new club rooms and viewing balcony.
The works are part of the Town of Cambridge's ongoing program to improve and construct new sports and recreation facilities throughout the city. Whilst a formal timeline is yet to be announced all parties are currently working hard to get the project into a construction phase.
Improvements to the existing amenities at City Beach Oval have been welcomed by the West Coast Cowan Football Club. West Coast Cowan President Chris Busch, said the construction of the club rooms signals another exciting development of the West Coast Cowan football club which has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and is now looking to challenge for the 2009 A Grade title.
“We are really excited about the club rooms, as it will bring many of the City Beach based sporting clubs together, we feel it will also increase patronage and better provide for the current members of the club. The improvements will also make City Beach Oval a better place to play football, and we can’t wait till construction starts,” he said.
"These investments are a huge boost to local clubs and individuals and reflect the Town of Cambridges’s commitment to encouraging healthy lifestyles among young people throughout the City Beach area,” Mr Busch said.
