The Tigers ressies side has continued its strong early season form, dominating Scarborough after quarter time on the way to a 44 point victory.

The win came at a cost however, with 2007 leading goal kicker and all-round good bloke Michael Farmer suffering a badly broken leg that could see him not play again until finals time.

For the second consecutive week, Farms' goal square mate Brad Bennet

After the teams split four goals in the first term, Cowan put the foot down in the second quarter to open up 29 point lead at the main break. Ageless centreman Dale Rakoffyavich was instrumental in the burst, while young Barry Bartlett (Barts) was flawless as a defensive wingman.

The second half was smooth sailing for the Tigers, as the expected charge from Scarborough never really eventuated. Four goals to two was fair reward for the Coasters' hard work after half time, as coaches Pete D'Alessandro and Matty Elliot could afford to relax just a little.

Along with Rakka, Brad and Barts, backmen Drew Dunn, Quentin Barrett (Baz to his mates) and Alex Fergie were in good form as the Tigers held the opposition to just four goals.

D'Alessandro was especially pleased for his backline, which worked well as a unit despite having played just a handful of games together.

"Each of the back six had an impact; Baz, Fergie and Alex Hunt shut their men down, Dunny was hard at it, while Russ McLagan, Harmer and Matty Marlow in particular showed great dash with their run and carry off half back," D'Alessandro said.

"Our on-ballers and half forwards were prepared to run back and support, which is a terrific sign."Losing Farms will affect our forward structure, but if we can keep sides to four majors we're going to win more often than we lose."

Goals: B Bennet 6, R McLagan 1, N Harmer 1, M Farmer 1, C Ryan 1.
